Terms of Service

Version V1.3 (English translation of the Chinese original) · Effective: 29 September 2026 · Last updated: 15 October 2026

This translation is provided for reference only. If any discrepancy, inconsistency or conflict exists between this translation and the latest updated Chinese version (including due to delays in translation), the Chinese version shall prevail.

Please note: before using the Service, pay particular attention to the clauses highlighted in bold, including but not limited to Clause 3 (prohibition on uploading and publishing NSFW and other prohibited content), Clause 4 (your warranty of rights over content you upload), Clause 6 (nature and limitations of AI-generated output), Clause 7 (subscription charges and refund conditions), Clause 10 (safety notice for physical bead crafting), Clause 11 (disclaimers and limitation of liability), Clause 14 (governing law and dispute resolution), and Clause 15 (survival, notices and other provisions). By registering, signing in or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms.

These Terms of Service (these “Terms”) are entered into between you and Peko(“we”, “us”) concerning your use of the Peko perler bead pattern generator website and its related features, including the PWA and the mobile web version (the “Service”).

01Scope and Nature of the Service

  • The Service is an online “tool + community” platform. It provides pixelation of photos into perler bead patterns, pattern editing, color-code mapping, export and download, AI-assisted image processing, Focus Beads (including online co-building), sharing on the Community Wall, and paid membership subscriptions.
  • The Service only generates and displays digital patterns and reference information. It does not manufacture, sell or ship any physical bead products, and it is not the official or authorised channel of any bead brand (including, without limitation, the colour-system names that appear in patterns). Brand and colour-code names are used solely for technical mapping and identification and belong to their respective owners.
  • Colours shown in a pattern are affected by screen colour reproduction and by the batch of physical beads used. We do not warrant that the digital pattern and the finished ironed piece will match in colour; please rely on a physical test.
  • 02Accounts and Registration

  • Some features require a registered account (by email or by a third-party sign-in). You must provide truthful information and are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • Please keep your credentials safe. Losses arising from your disclosure of account credentials, account sharing or unattended devices are your own responsibility. If you notice unusual activity, notify us immediately and change your credentials.
  • Children under 14 may use the Service only under the supervision and consent of a parent or guardian, and with the guardian operating or authorising the use. Minors aged 14 to under 18 should use the Service under guardian guidance. Guardians are responsible for supervising the minor’s use. Where the law of your place of residence sets a different digital age of consent or capacity rule (for example thresholds of 13, 15 or 16 in some jurisdictions), that law applies. See Clause 10 of the Privacy Policy and its regional appendices.
  • You may apply to close your account; for the resulting data handling see Clause 9 of the Privacy Policy.
  • 03Acceptable Use

You undertake not to use the Service to engage in any of the following:

If you breach this Clause, we may, depending on the circumstances, issue a warning, restrict features, remove content, or suspend or terminate the Service. You bear the consequences and any resulting losses yourself.

04Your Uploaded Content and the Licence You Grant

  • Warranty of rights: you hold the rights in, or have obtained lawful authorisation for, the images you upload and the content you publish (together, “User Content”), and you warrant that it infringes no third-party rights. Disputes and liability arising from User Content are yours to bear, and you shall compensate us for any loss we suffer as a result.
  • Ownership, copyright and other intellectual property in User Content (including the original image and the generated pattern data) belong to you or the relevant rights holder; we assert no ownership over it. To provide the Service to you (storage, rendering, export, and display at your instruction), you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to use it; that licence ends when you delete the content or close your account, except for reasonable delays caused by technical backups.
  • Content you voluntarily publish to the Community Wall may be viewed, liked and downloaded by other users within the Service for personal, non-commercial bead practice; any other use is governed by you and applicable law.
  • We do not pre-screen User Content, but we reserve the right to act on it as required by law, by competent authorities, or under these Terms (see Clause 12).
  • 05Platform Intellectual Property

The interface design, code, graphics, the name Peko and its mascot (Péko), icons, documentation and other operational content of the Service are owned by us or the respective rights holders. Without our written permission you may not copy, modify, mirror, resell or use them for any commercial purpose.

06Nature and Limitations of the AI Features

  • AI enhancement and AI background removal rely on third-party large-model capability (see Clause 5 of the Privacy Policy). Output is generated by an algorithm, and we do not warrant that generated results are accurate, complete, commercially usable or non-infringing.
  • You should exercise your own judgement over AI output. Before publishing or commercially using generated content, assess the compliance risks yourself.
  • The AI features are subject to usage quotas as described in the plan you purchase; when a quota is exhausted you may wait for it to reset or upgrade your plan.
  • As required by regulation, AI-generated content may carry a corresponding label, and you must not remove, alter or conceal such labels.
  • 07Membership Subscriptions, Fees and Refunds

  • Paid plans (Pro / Family and the like) are collected by a third-party payment provider (Creem). We do not store your card details; payment transactions are governed by the provider’s terms.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically on a recurring basis. You may turn off renewal on the subscription management page or with the payment provider; once renewal is off, your benefits continue until the end of the current billing cycle and no further charges are made.
  • Refund commitment: within seven (7) calendar days of your first subscription, if you are not satisfied you may request a full refund through the contact channel listed in Clause 13 of the Privacy Policy, and after verification it will be returned via the original payment route. If you have used any paid membership feature (including without limitation quota-consuming actions such as AI enhancement or AI background removal, generation or export beyond the free tier’s specifications, or premium ironing textures), you are deemed to have enjoyed the corresponding benefits and that order is no longer eligible for a refund. We may refuse refund requests made through multiple accounts or that otherwise show clear signs of abuse. Unless mandatory law at your place of residence provides otherwise, refund requests made after the seven-day window or once a renewal cycle has begun will not be accepted in principle.
  • Benefits following an accepted refund: once a refund has been verified and accepted, the membership benefits attached to that order terminate immediately from the moment the refund is completedand do not continue until the end of the current billing cycle; the paid features concerned revert to the free tier the next time you refresh the page or return to the site. Patterns you have already saved are not deleted. Beyond the free allowance you may temporarily be unable to add or change patterns, and full use resumes as soon as you are a paid member again.
  • Prices and benefits may change; services already purchased in the current cycle are unaffected. For material changes we will notify you by on-site notice or announcement.
  • Where we terminate service to you because you breached these Terms, we may decline any refund.
  • 08Community Content and Moderation

  • Content on the Community Wall reflects only the views of the person who published it. We do not warrant the quality, safety or lawfulness of community content; please use your own judgement.
  • The Community Wall has zero tolerance for the NSFW Content listed in Clause 3: whoever publishes it, it will be removed on discovery, and features may be restricted or the account suspended or terminated depending on the circumstances. To carry out this duty, we may apply automated safety screening to images you upload or publish, to the extent necessary (including third-party content moderation services).
  • Automated screening can produce false positives. If you believe action was taken in error, please appeal through the contact channel in Clause 16, and we will review the case manually.
  • The community provides a reporting mechanism. We may throttle, remove or ban content that is infringing, unlawful or inappropriate, and may publicise the outcome of our actions.
  • 09Changes, Interruption and Termination of the Service

  • The Service is provided “as is”. We strive to keep it available, but interruptions may occur because of upgrades, maintenance, force majeure or third-party service failures; we will give notice in a reasonable manner.
  • You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time; we may terminate service to you under these Terms. After termination, we will delete or anonymise your data except where retention is required by law.
  • 10Safety Notice for Physical Bead Crafting

Patterns generated by the Service are intended to guide offline bead crafting. Beads and accessories are small parts and present a risk of choking if swallowed and of burns when ironing: children under 14 must be supervised by an adult at all times, and the ironing step must be performed by an adult with ventilation and burn precautions. Personal injury or property loss occurring during offline crafting is unrelated to the provider of the digital pattern and is borne by the organisers and participants under applicable law.

    11Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses arising from: breach of the acceptable-use rules by you or a third party; differences between your subjective expectations and the pattern result (colour, size, fidelity); the inherent risks of your offline crafting activity; interruption or failure of third-party services (cloud storage, payment, AI models, network); or force majeure.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability to you is limited to the amounts you actually paid for the Service during the twelve (12) months preceding the damage, and we are not liable for indirect loss, loss of profit or loss of data. This Clause does not exclude our liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, for personal injury, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
  • 12Intellectual Property Complaints (Notice and Takedown)

If you believe content on the Service infringes your lawful rights, please send a written notice to [email protected] including: proof of your identity and prima facie evidence of your rights, the specific location of the allegedly infringing content (link or screenshot), a prima facie statement of infringement, and your contact details. After verification as required by law, we will take necessary measures such as deleting or blocking the allegedly infringing content, and may forward the notice to the reported user as regulations require.

    13Updates to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time; material changes will be communicated through on-site prompts or announcements. From the effective date of an update, your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms; if you do not agree, please stop using the Service and you may close your account.

    14Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

The formation, performance and interpretation of these Terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China (excluding its conflict-of-laws rules). The parties will first try to resolve any dispute arising under these Terms through friendly negotiation; failing that, either party may bring proceedings before the competent people’s court at the operator’s place of business. Where the law of your habitual residence provides mandatory consumer protection that cannot be excluded by agreement (including mandatorily applicable law and jurisdiction rules), that law prevails; you may also enjoy the rights listed in the regional appendices of the Privacy Policy. For small cross-border disputes we encourage and will co-operate with low-cost resolution channels such as online dispute resolution.

    15Other Provisions

  • 15.1 Survival: if these Terms terminate for any reason, Clauses 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 14 and 15 continue in effect according to their nature.
  • 15.2 Feedback: product suggestions, comments or improvement information you voluntarily send us (excluding User Content) grant us a royalty-free, irrevocable, non-attribution licence to use them; we are under no obligation to adopt them.
  • 15.3 Usage data: log and statistical data that has been anonymised so that it cannot identify you belongs to us for operational use and may be disclosed in aggregate form.
  • 15.4 Backups: please keep your own backups of patterns and other important content. For content lost because of device failure, clearing browser data or account action, we will assist recovery within a reasonable technical scope but bear no liability for the resulting loss.
  • 15.5 Notices: service and operational notices from us are deemed served when issued via on-site announcement, pop-up prompt or the email address you registered with, by any one of these means; notices from you to us should be sent to [email protected]. Notices concerning your material interests will be presented as prominently as practicable.
  • 15.6 Severability: if any part of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable by a competent authority, the validity of the remaining provisions is unaffected; the invalid provision will be replaced, to the minimum extent necessary, with a lawful provision closest in purpose.
  • 15.7 No waiver: our failure to insist on, or exercise, any right under these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right.
  • 15.8 Assignment: you may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our written consent; if we assign them as a whole as part of a merger, division, acquisition or business reorganisation, we will notify you before it takes effect.
